Health Care Reform—Impacts for Small Employers
This session is designed to help you better understand how Health Care Reform affects you as a small employer—to stay in compliance with and lead your company’s response to this new legislation.
Now that Health Care Reform has been enacted, employers with 200 employees or less are impacted differently than larger employers. You are beginning the process of understanding the financial, programmatic, operational, and legal requirements of the new legislation. This session will review the special considerations you, as a small employer, need to be aware of to stay in compliance with and lead your company’s response to this new legislation. This session will cover:
• The current understanding of requirements, timing and intent such as the small employer tax credit and immediate actions needed
• Administrative considerations and financial impact, including cost and pricing implications
• Developing a benefit strategy and effectively engaging your workforce in light of reform
