San Diego Tour: City Tour — San Diego Sights
Introduce yourself to San Diego with a city excursion. The first stop will be to a San Diego landmark, the Cabrillo National Monument. On September 28, 1542, Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo landed at the San Diego Bay. This event marked the first time that a European expedition had set foot on what later became the west coast of the United States. The park offers a superb view of San Diego’s harbor and skyline. At the highest point of the park stands the Old Point Loma Lighthouse, a San Diego icon since 1854. Next, guests will head down to B Street Pier to board the Coronado Water Ferry; a great way to view the downtown skyline and head over to one of San Diego’s treasures; Coronado Island. Upon arrival in Coronado, guests will enjoy free time exploring the surrounding shops and beaches. The final stop is beautiful Balboa Park, one of America’s largest municipal parks housing the second largest collection of museums outside of Washington D.C. Balboa Park is also home to the world famous San Diego Zoo. During the return drive to the hotel, the coach will drive through the newly restored Historic Gaslamp District, a perfect place for guests to enjoy shopping during the day and the wonderful San Diego nightlife in the evenings.
