Zero Tolerance: Assessment and Prevention of Workplace Violence - 2011 SHRM Annual Conference & Exposition

Workplace Application: This session will provide the legal and practical tools you need to enhance your organization's ability to respond quickly, legally and safely to threats of workplace violence.

Led by an attorney member of the National Association of Threat Assessment Professionals, this session is a multi-disciplinary examinaton of managing threats in the workplace. Going beyond basic warning signs and risk factors, we will examine both legal and practical considerations, including the creation and training of a corporate Workplace Violence Prevention Team, disability law developments and "fitness-for-duty" examinations, best practices in identifying troubled employees, and the termination of dangerous individuals.
