Firstenberg, Ph.D. is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she teaches courses on problem solving and decision making. From UCLA, she received her B.A. in Linguistics and Psychology, M.A. in Consumer Behavior and Psychology, and Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology.

Dr. Firstenberg will speak about “Innovation in Turbulent Times.” She will discuss how innovation can be manifested at its best in turbulent times. These are periods when traditional thinking is questioned and best practices, rooted in the past, do not ensure that we will thrive in the future. The session will describe strategies to tap innovative thinking in new ways that are future focused, and that have the potential to become a way of life in the organization.
